While microfilm offers a true archival solution, it requires readers and printers which can only be used by one person. Unless you also have backup copies stored in a fire safe or off-site then they are also just as prone to disaster as the original documents.

SRS can scan your microfilm and archive them with all your other documents so any user can access them instantly from their desktop. We can scan all types of microfilm including jacket, roll, COM, 35mm aperture card or any other form of microfilm data.

The final images, if microfilmed originally to a good standard, will then be just as high a quality as a direct scan of the original document or drawing with up to 400dpi resolution across the original sheet size. The scanned images can be fully indexed to your requirements, or supplied in the SRS Online Document Repository or as Adobe Acrobat PDF. A backup CD/DVD’s will be provided which can be viewed on any PC, or over a network if required.
